RECORD YOUR AUDITION FROM HOME AND SEND IT TO US – HERE’S EXACTLY HOW IT WORKS
ONLINE VIDEO SUBMISSION
Can’t make it to an in-person audition? No problem. All you need to audition is access to a smart phone, so you can record a few things, and access to the internet, so you can upload your clips and send via WeTransfer for us to review them!
Follow the steps below to record and submit your online audition from home.
STEP 1
What Do You Need To Record?
Just like our in-person auditions, please don’t panic about trying to be perfect. This is our opportunity to meet you, get to know you a little bit and see you sing and dance, just enough to find out if we think you would enjoy being in the show. Just be yourself, do your very best on the recordings and leave the rest to us.
1. Intro Clip
A short clip (30 seconds) of you TALKING directly to the camera (us) about who you are, what experience (if any) you have in the performing arts and why you want to join the cast.
2. Sing
You SINGING a short song or section of a longer song (60 to 90 seconds) of your choice to a backing track.
3. Dance
You PERFORMING a DANCE to your favourite style of music.
STEP 2
How To Submit Your Recordings
DO NOT EMAIL FILES DIRECTLY TO US – they’re too big!
1. Upload via WeTransfer
Instead, please pop along to wetransfer.com and:
- Upload all three files
- Fill out the box with your email address, add your name in the message box, and email to bbexp@bythecollectives.global
- You’ll get emailed a verification code to confirm the transfer, enter that and then hit ‘transfer’!
Please make sure you have all three recordings ready and that you transfer them at the same time.
2. Name Your Files
Please name each file with your full name followed by the number. So, if Laura Proudfoot was submitting audition material, these are the file names she would use:
- 1. Intro Clip – File name: lauraproudfoot1
- 2. Song – File name: lauraproudfoot2
- 3. Dance – File name: lauraproudfoot3
