About the show

BBEXP is back for another magical summer in Edinburgh! Join the 200-strong BBEXP cast as they present the re-imaginged classic WONDERLAND at the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh.

Alice, a stressed modern mother and writer whose life is falling apart amid a looming divorce. When her daughter Chloe is pulled into a magical realm below the city streets, Alice follows her down the rabbit hole.

In this new Wonderland, they encounter eccentric, updated versions of familiar characters, including a Latin pop Cheshire Cat, a boy band White Knight, and a villainous, ambitious Mad Hatter. To save Chloe and return home, Alice must conquer her deep fears, defeat the Hatter, and truly rediscover herself.

Beyond Broadway played a huge part in shaping me as a performer. Creating a full show in just two weeks helped me build confidence, develop new skills, and learn the professionalism needed for a career in theatre. I also made friendships that I know will last a lifetime. The experience gave me the tools and self-belief to pursue my career, and I genuinely wouldn’t be where I am today without it.
